Boston-based Most Valuable Network (MVN) entrusted me from 2007 to 2009 to maintain and support a team of more than 400 writers, oversee and optimize its web services and lead a wide variety of web development and design projects, working remotely over the course of three years.
I lead the management and execution of two different renovations of the network’s content management system (WordPress and, later, Movable Type), which required wholesale redesigns and rebranding. Each project required me to command multiple programming languages and tools, including PHP, Perl, MySQL, Javascript, CSS and HTML.
Projects also required me to offer substantial user support through technical writing, presentations and direct communication with staff and customers. MVN also deployed a live and on-demand video and radio network, calling on me to direct, produce and host multiple audio and video productions.
I played a daily role in developing business partnerships and strategy.
MVN shuttered full-time operation of its online business in 2010.
